History of Shashi Bhushan Balika Vidyalaya Degree College, Lucknow.

Shashi Bhushan Balika Vidyalaya Degree College was established as a Women’s college in 1959. This Institution was founded by the founder Manager Sri Victor Narayan Vidyant, a renowned educationist and philanthropist as a primary school which later became an Inter College and then a Degree college.
Both Sri Vidyant and his wife Smt Leela Vidyant who later became the first Principal of the Degree College worked hard relentlessly for women’s education of this city specially the poor and underprivileged girls . This college is now managed by the Vidyant Educational Trust.
The proximity of the College to Charbagh Railway Station and Hussainganj Metro Station has caused many students to enrol here. Other means of transport are also available as the College is located in the heart of the city .
The College is famous for its cultural programmes, plays and other extracurricular activities and Inter collegiate competitions. The students enthusiastically partake in all kinds of academic seminars, skill oriented workshops, games, NSS and NCC camps. All the faculty members and the Principal wish to impart better Academic Education and all round development and provide opportunities to students of this College.
